Quick sketch from my sketchbook

Didn’t really want to use watercolor so I just colored here and there with Photoshop CS6 (lazy shortcut?)

I used to not be a big fan of sequins, maybe all the overly sparkly prom dress have labeled them as tacky…

and the fact that they remind me of the ones you used to smear with Elmer’s glue in kindergarten

BUT Elie Saabs have forever changed my attitude on the subject.

The couture  gowns that glided down the runway during fashion week,  sheer fabrics and sequins that fall in a  soft shimmering gradient, are completely ethereal.

Definitely NOT gaudy, nor would it remind you of less than qualified “art” projects from nursery school
